I really enjoy the Crow Tarot by M.J. Cullinane. Its rich imagery captivates me. Recently, I learned about the "Liberation Tarot Deck," a project where people from many countries and backgrounds collaborated to create the deck. I'm intrigued by this global effort.
Occasionally, I dive deep into tarot decks, though I'm particularly attached to the Crow Tarot. I've also used the "Wild Unknown," which has beautiful cards, but the imagery didn't resonate as strongly with me as other decks. Some decks on my wish list include the Lubanko Tarot Deck & Guidebook, True Heart Intuitive Tarot, and Superlunaris Tarot (2nd Edition). The last two are RWS-inspired.
What other decks do you love? I'd love to hear what you call on for guidance through art and imagery. Additionally, I have a special fondness for the Earth Warriors Oracle deck.
Ah, The Crow Tarot!! I still don't have a copy and had forgotten about how much I loved the look of it when it first came across my radar... ordered a copy just now! Excited to check out these other recs, too, thank you Bethany!
I love The Spolia Tarot and used to read with the Fountain Tarot a lot, but haven't been picking it up as much. Also a huge fan of Apparition Tarot and Kitty Kahane.
This reading resonates deeply, reflecting the magical synchronicity of The Incandescent Tarot Gina Magic <3 Immersed in synthesizing my sound art and storytelling through my sound astrology project, I found solace in dancing whenever agitation arose, grounding me in the present. This journey ignited a longing to be more open in relationships. Returning to my sense of self felt soothing, rekindling my desire to connect with curious souls through my creative expressions. Recognizing the richness of the emotional and spiritual resources I've been cultivating brought me bliss even amidst discomfort. This spread captures the feeling of internal pressure, signaling that big changes are afoot. It feels like I'm courageously facing my inner devils and habitual patterns of self-sabotage as a novice, childlike and ready to shine in my mystical curiosities.
Aw, thank you so much, Bethany! This sound astrology project sounds so cool. Love hearing about how it opened a pathway to your relationships and sense of self! Such wisdom re: internal pressure signaling big changes. I tend to forget that when experiencing said pressure 😅
Wow these cards! Very curious to hear what you make of them but aaaaaaah! My July experience was very interesting to me, and it's really today that I can put words to it, especially the duality 8 of cups vs 9 of cups. I realised that in times of need, I tend to isolate and walk away from people and anything else that usually "fill my cups", instead of sitting just as I am, à la 9 of cups, znd trusting that my cups and what is in them are beautiful, stable and exactly what I need. So happy to finally trust in my cups!
Confidence and competence! Self-love. Loyalty to my values, and acting from alignment with them. Very Stength-y now that I’m writing it out! But I can see the influence of those other 8s (and the missing 8 of Wands, too!) as I reflect on the month. This was great to revisit, thank you, Gina!
The 8 of Wands is a card that very, very rarely shows up in my personal readings, and I saw it 3 times in July! It kept feeling like a gentle nudge: okay, babe, let’s add just a touch of fire and activation to the mix. Don’t stay in your head so much; don’t fixate on what you want to leave behind just yet. Put some energy behind all that productive 8 of Pentacles labor and find moments of energetically-aligned enthusiasm.
Wow-all 4 are Major Arcana cards! Big things coming…
On another note, the deck I am enjoying the most these days is Adam Stoller’s Tarot— whimsical yes, but still very close to RSW symbolism.
Thank you for the rec, Terri! Excited to check it out (and I love when decks manage to preserve/honor the RWS symbolism!)
oh my goodness!!! Those CARDS!! Feels on point though! xo
Right?! I'm freaking out and also feeling very seen 😂

This is so perfectly articulated, Mady! Thank you so much for sharing <3

Oooh love this and totally, that is super strength-y! Curious about how you experienced the missing 8 of Wands!
