🌎 The Collective Reading Experiment Is Back!
A Crowdsourced Weekly Forecast for 6/9
Hello lovely readers! Summer is in full force here in Durham. (Yes, I know the solstice hasn’t happened yet, but I’m much more a fan of meteorological seasons than astronomical.) We’ve had an uncharacteristically wet spring so many of the plants that would make a later appearance in the season are now in full bloom: my joyfully purple Rose of Sharon, the fuzzy and fragrant mimosa trees, and a local favorite shrub with blue-purple spires called Caryopteris.
All this abundance has me inspired to revisit our collective reading experiment from April. I did not anticipate how delightful and engaging this exercise would be! It’s as simple as it sounds: I post the cards for the weekly forecast here and you all write your interpretation below.
Be sure to check back and see how the conversation evolves, respond to other people’s takes, and remember, there is no right way to read tarot. Therefore, there is no wrong way to read the cards either! Have fun intuiting, extrapolating, connecting, and creating interpretations.

Only read my thoughts below if you feel you need them. I think it would be especially cool to jump in cold with no other input. And, as a dear friend of mine says, there are no wrong answers!
A brief & optional rundown of what I’m seeing:
The Fool is an exciting card to have leading the week and suggests the beginning of a new chapter or, for some of us, the beginning of a new “Fool’s Journey.” I’m curious, though, about the card’s thematic similarities with the Page of Wands and the visual contrast between the two cards…
The Page of Wands mid-week shows a burgeoning excitement, interest, and motivation in “the wands world.”
We end with the balanced and practical Six of Pentacles, a card that introduces a social element to our reading.
Some big contrasts:
The spiritual, big-picture Fool —> youthful enthusiasm of the Page of Wands.
Growth, change, and self-understanding —> Worldly ambition, balancing resources.
Energy and potential (lots of it!) —> daily life projects and concerns.
Some interesting commonalities:
Major arcana cards! Last week ended with The High Priestess and this week begins with The Fool - what might these cards be saying to us?
The Fool and the Page of Wands share similar themes - adventure, passion, youthfulness, exploration.
Two minor arcana cards with characters facing each other - the Page of Wands and Six of Pentacles.

I am in the early stages of my Journey so my interpretation will be brief as I slowly learn to read and intuitively express the Tarot spread’s messages.
The Fool and Page of Wands paired together tells me the first half of the week is going to be exciting. Something we have been ambitious about or wanting to develop can begin to transpire if we follow the Fool and take a leap of Faith. Later in the week we need to pay attention to balancing what we give to this new venture with what it is giving to us. Success is within reach
Ending last week with High Priestess may have given us some space for deep reflection and some intuitive truths to bubble up to the surface. With the Fool as our first card this week, it feels like we have this beautiful opportunity to integrate those epiphanies via play and experimentation that feels light-hearted and low stakes. This is echoed by the page of wands in that play, excitement, and creativity are an important part of the process, and shouldn’t be underestimated or overlooked. With the six of pentacles, it feels like this open inquiry of like, can we feel and see the difference on a material level when we allow ourselves to center play, joy, and creativity? How do these things interact with or support our sense of balance and/or abundance?
